Je ne commente pas l’attribution des prix et des honneurs, mais puisqu’il est beaucoup question de Bob Dylan ces jours-ci, voici une chanson toute simple, très belle, imagée mais pas du tout hermétique (de son album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan de 1963) que j’ai interprétée à ma façon et enregistrée pour mon plaisir l’année passée, donc bien avant la polémique actuelle. Il existe aussi une version française (La fille du Nord, traduction de Hugues Aufray) de cette chanson.

Une grande force de Dylan est de donner envie à d’autres artistes de revisiter ses créations. Lui-même ne les interprète jamais de la même façon. Ce sont des œuvres ouvertes à d’autres voix, à d’autres arrangements, mais toujours enracinées dans leur texte d’origine et sa musicalité.
